Belotero Q&A

What is Belotero?

Belotero Balance is a hyaluronic acid filler that improves the appearance of volume loss around the nose and mouth.

Nasolabial folds are deep creases and wrinkles that appear around your mouth and nose as you age. They can make your skin look loose and saggy.

With Belotero Balance you can effectively treat nasolabial folds and wrinkles, as well as fine lip lines, with a gel-like substance that your body already produces. This helps you achieve subtle, natural-looking results.

How is Belotero different from other dermal fillers?

Belotero Balance is very similar to Juvéderm® because they’re both hyaluronic acid fillers. The main difference between the two is that Juvéderm works best on deep wrinkles and facial folds, while Belotero has a unique formula that makes it adaptable within the skin to achieve soft and smooth results.

Because of its adaptable nature, Belotero can treat fine lines and deep folds alike to help you maintain a soft, youthful glow.

What happens during Belotero treatments?

After your initial consultation with Dr. Willis, when you discuss your desired treatment areas, you’ll return to the office for your injection appointment.

Dr. Willis uses a local anesthetic to minimize pain and ensure comfort throughout your visit. After injecting Belotero into the desired areas, he massages the skin to make sure it integrates well without spreading to other areas.

What happens after Belotero treatments?

You should avoid strenuous activity, extensive sun exposure, alcohol, and anti-inflammatory medications for at least 24 hours after your injections. While minor swelling, bruising, redness, and discomfort are normal temporary side effects, these irritants can exacerbate your symptoms.

Like Juvéderm, Belotero offers immediate results. When you leave the office, your lines and wrinkles should look smoother and less visible.

How long does Belotero last?

Each Belotero treatment takes only about 15 minutes and lasts for about 6-12 months. Over time, the hyaluronic fillers gradually absorb back into your body.

Because Belotero is gentle and effective, you can return to New England Laser Lipo for maintenance treatments if you want your results to continue looking smooth and natural.

If you’re ready for softer, more supple-looking skin, call New England Laser Lipo or schedule an appointment online today.
