Considering SmartLipo?

Saturday, April 9th, 2016

Having a difficult time shedding stubborn fat despite continued diet and exercise? SmartLipo offers a minimally invasive alternative for those who wish to lose areas of unwanted fat without going under the knife.

SmartLipo is recommended for those within 25 pounds of their ideal body weight and is FDA approved for both women and men.  This procedure is most effective on people who aren’t significantly overweight, but still can’t shed that stubborn fat.  Typical areas of treatment are the back, waist, thighs, arms and abdomen.

How Does SmartLipo Work?

The procedure uses a laser to melt fat prior to being suctioned from the body.  The laser heat not only melts the fat, but it also causes tissue coagulation, or skin tightening, and collagen production. The skin’s laxity continues to improves over the following months after treatment.

SmartLipo requires local anesthesia and can be performed in a physician’s office in about three hour’s time, depending on the amount of areas treated.  The area treated will be numbed and patients find little to no discomfort during and after treatment.

What Is The Recovery for SmartLipo?

During recovery patients may experience some mild bruising, swelling or tenderness and will require 1-2 days of downtime.  Results are seen through the first month of recovery, with full results experienced at 3-6 months post-procedure.

Is SmartLipo Right For You?

Whether Smartlipo is the right procedure for you will depend on your medical history, personal goals and expectations.
