Botox® for a Natural Youthful Appearance

Wednesday, March 9th, 2016

Botox® is a cosmetic treatment that has been wildly popular in recent years to correct the signs of aging.  It was approved by the Food And Drug Administration over a decade ago for the treatment of wrinkles and facial expression lines. Botox® injections have a protein that weakens the muscles and blocks the nerves that cause frown lines and wrinkles in the face.

Botox® can be used to treat wrinkles on the forehead, around the eyes, face and around the nose. It takes approximately 10 minutes to administer Botox® injections. Most patients will  notice a improved difference in treated areas in just seven days. It is important to note that the effects of Botox® are not permanent. For most people, the results will last three or four months.

Botox® is a very safe treatment. However, it is common to notice some elevation and slight redness in the treatment area. The vast majority of people feel up to returning to their normal routine after they receive injections. The redness from the injection will typically go away within one hour.

Other Botox® uses include a variety of medical applications including the reduction of excessive sweating, and for the treatment of migraines, crossed eyes and eye spasms.

Healthy people between the ages of 18 and 65 are considered good candidates for Botox. However, you should refrain from Botox® if you are breastfeeding or pregnant or of you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Botox®.

One of the keys to getting the most out of your Botox®injections is to select a qualified physician. If you are interested in a non-invasive cosmetic treatment, then you should contact New England Laser Lipo. Dr. Paul Willis will give you a thorough examination in order to determine whether you are a good candidate for treatment.

At the New England Laser Lipo Center in Worcester, MA our goal is to get our patients results that are not only optimal, but natural-looking.
